A Flash Intent uses the Local prover’s flashFulfill function to fulfill a same-chain intent with funds from that intent’s vault. The caller does not need to supply all route tokens from its own inventory.

When to use it

Use flash fulfillment when the intent’s source and destination are the same chain, the reward specifies the Local prover, and the vaulted funds can supply the route’s required assets. Route execution can include swaps or other contract calls.

How it works

  1. Publish and fund the same-chain intent.
  2. A caller invokes flashFulfill with the route, reward, and claimant.
  3. The Local prover withdraws the reward from the vault and approves the Portal to spend the required route tokens.
  4. The Portal fulfills the route through the Executor.
  5. The Local prover transfers the remaining reward-token and native-token balances to the claimant.
These operations share one transaction. If fulfillment fails, withdrawal and execution revert together. The caller still needs native tokens for gas, and any swap remains subject to the available liquidity and the route’s conditions.

Integration boundaries

flashFulfill is a contract operation, not a guarantee that every same-chain API quote uses this path. Inspect the returned execution instructions when using the Routes API. A cross-chain intent cannot be fulfilled through the same-chain Local prover.
