Routes uses intents to send and swap tokens across supported chains. You request a quote, fund the returned intent, and track its execution. A solver supplies the destination assets and executes the route. The source-chain Portal releases the reward when the configured prover confirms fulfillment.

How a transfer works

A solver-funded cross-chain route follows this sequence.
Source and destination Portal contracts, vaults, executors, solvers, and provers in a Routes transfer.
  1. Quote and fund. Request a route and fund its source-chain vault using the returned execution instructions.
  2. Fulfill. A solver delivers the tokens and executes any destination calls.
  3. Prove. The configured prover makes fulfillment evidence available on the source chain.
  4. Settle. The solver withdraws the source-chain reward.
Fulfillment and settlement are separate transactions for cross-chain routes. If fulfillment does not complete, funds may become refundable under the intent’s deadline and proof conditions. A refund requires a source-chain transaction; expiry alone does not move funds. A quote can include a source swap, a destination swap, or several intents. Read Intent types to interpret the returned route, and use the live chain and token endpoints to check support.
